Hello again. I seem to be on an every other week schedule. I was thinking about life in general and how I want the world to view myself and my family. These are questions we all should ask ourselves and questions that should be at the forefront of every believers mind.
1. Do I show the grace Christ has show to me? (Learning from this week, it takes a lot of grace to deal with car salesmen.) John 1:17
2. Do I share a kind word, and am I concerned with others well being and destiny? Proverbs 29:8
3.Am I willing to help others? Philippians 2:4
4. Am I willing to give to the work of Creator? James says we are the firstfruits of His creation. Should we not give of our firstfruits?
5. Am I teaching my children truth? The Proverbs says to train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. Am I teaching them to Love God, Love others, Live in the Freedom and Security of Jesus, and Live surrendered to His will?
All of these are questions we must answer. The world does not know and can't give you the security, freedom, happiness and truth that is only found in Jesus. The world gives us answers like good spirits, vibes, and karma. None of these can hold a light to the Son of God dying for us and giving those who believe on His name eternal life. As you well know all of these questions I listed are not easy. They are not easy for me. It is only by His grace can we achieve these things.
Bob Dylan said some 40 years ago "It may be the Devil or it may be the Lord, but you're gonna have to serve somebody". I want to be a shadow of the grace given to me and I want to do all of these things well. It does not require a system of good works and proper behavior or religious clothing to get there. It requires an act of surrender to the Spirit. A humbling of one's self and a walking in the grace received. If you are not here yet, give up all of the things blocking you from getting there and walk with Jesus.
Blessings
Bro Phil
