Lost in the Wilderness?

Are you are going through a wilderness? Take heart. God has promised that in the wilderness experience that He will speak tenderly to you. This word is emotive and means from the very heart. God will speak to you heart to heart, but you will have to listen for His tender words. It's hard to hear God speaking when you are consumed with your problem rather than listening. (Hosea 2:14)
 This was something that I read yesterday and reposted on my Facebook Page.
Life is full of ups and downs.  There are many highs and many lows.  But at times it may seem like there are more of one or the other.  And then there is the "wilderness experience."
Have you ever been lost?  When I was younger I mean before children and probably when I had my license for just a few years I always thought it was fun to drive around and try to get lost.  And no matter how "out-in-the-wilderness" it seemed I would get eventually I would end up on a road that I would recognize and of course find my way home.  A.L.W.A.Y.S!  At times it was disappointing...it was after all my goal to drive around aimlessly and not know where I was.  Of course, I never did this alone...I was always with someone.
 As I sit here and ponder this thought, I can honestly say I don't think I ever played the lets drive around and get lost game while I was alone.  I just didn't sound quite as adventurous or fun.    And now that I am much older and wiser less up for adventure I realize how life can be like a lost-in-the-wilderness kind of feeling at times.  We feel like we are just existing walking through life not really knowing who to turn to, where to go to, or even what the next step is.  Often times we are walking through this wilderness alone and feeling that no one understands or cares.  Walking through the wildness can be scary, frustrating, or it can even make you down right mad.
But no matter what the situation, how you may be feeling there is someone right there beside you wanting to be your guide on the way out.  The road out may be bumpy and filled with many twists and turns, but if we just allow ourselves to not be consumed with the wilderness (problem we are facing) and listen to our director (God) we will see there is hope.  And you will not be lost forever!
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
   “For your sake we face death all day long;
   we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
